Meet Sonia

Greetings,

I'm glad you're here. The following is a bit about me and some of the experiences I hold dear in my life. I'm happy to share with you.

Sonia Pahwa (MSW, RSW) is a multiracial social worker (South Asian + European, with traits of Albinism) and facilitator, working in downtown Toronto and surrounding areas.

She offers counselling and psychotherapy sessions in office, by phone, and online. As a clinical trainer, Sonia delivers mental health workshops for organizations and community agencies across various sectors.

In her spare time, Sonia volunteers as a therapeutic clown. She works with Gesundheit! Institute and Patch Adams, participating in humanitarian outreach in Russia, Canada, US, and Guatemala. Sonia serves as an organizer, clinical lead, and staff clown for a program using clowning as an alternative treatment for Veterans and military members living with moral injury, operational stress injury, and/or PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder). To learn more about this international peace project, watch the 2019 documentary film ClownVets
